Maheshwari Saree is made up of cotton and pure silk thread is woven with zari in various types of patterns. The concept of Maheshwari Saree introduced in the 18thcentury, these sarees were first manufactured in the town of Maheshwar.
The design concept of Maheshwari Saree inspired by the architecture of royal forts of Madhya Pradesh, which played a major role in the weave and motifs on the saree. There are several popular patterns are used to construct Maheshwari Saree such as Chattai Pattern, Chameli ka Phool, Eent (bricks), Heera (diamond), etc.
