Saree bags from the house of Aprudha is an innovation based on the idea of Dadi maa's Nushkhas, this inspiration came from the heart of our saree expert Sweta Anand (CEO of Aprudha). She brought her imagination in front of the design team to create something amazing to organize the wardrobe (especially for silk sarees). After so much of brain teasing, we came up with an idea of creating saree bags from the eco-friendly pure cotton fabric which is free from the chemicals and artificial colors.

Here, we are going to give you a brief about how these bags are crafted & transferred to your wardrobe-:
Sourcing
In order to enhance the life of your silk sarees, we decided to use pure cotton fabric for the saree bags. We use variety of cotton fabric as per the design and functionality of the garment & accessories, you wish to store. For a complete guide, please read our blog Different Fabrics, Same Goal…While sourcing, we make sure that the fabric is 100% pure and having good absorbency. To identify the purity & reliability, we conduct several types of test i.e burn, wash & shrinkage test. We finalize the fabric as per the performance in the authenticity test.
Design Development
The next step is to make the design of bags for your precious sarees and other wardrobe items. Once we identify the fabrics, the next step is to create highly functional designs to give aesthetic feel to your wardrobe. While designing, we consider a few things - minimalistic yet effective pattern, easy-to-care, & provides a luxurious ambience to your wardrobe. Our design team creates illustrations with proper specifications, which make things easier for our sampling department to go ahead with the process.
Sampling
Once the design & specification sheets are ready, it goes to sampling department for further process. The Sampling department coordinates with the sourcing team for pure cotton fabrics for each kind of the bag’s category. Then, fabrics are prepared and assigned to master & tailors. The pattern of each bag is manually created by our master, then patterns transferred to tailors for final stitching. These bags are made by our local craftsman, these are not factory made.
Trial
Under this process, stitched bags go for trial. We keep the sarees in bags and monitor the functionality and performance based on the design. It goes for further process only when it gets approval from the production team. In case of disapproval, we keep working to improve the design till the time it gets approved.
Quality Inspection
Each bag is manually checked by our quality inspection team. Quality check is done on certain parameters - measurements, stitching line, finishing, & trim attachments. Once it gets approved by our QC team, it goes for packaging process.
Packaging
In packaging process, each bag is manually folded and packed in a set. After this step, your bags are ready to get dispatched.
Transportation
Sending your bags on time is our priority, we have a tie up with a well known logistics company. Once the order is placed, we try to dispatch it within 24 to 48 business hours. Usually it reaches within 5-8 business days. We ship all over India & worldwide too.
